Suffused with music and crafted with the author’s clear poetic language, Julia Nunnally Duncan’s stories are of vulnerable, loving people, sometimes lost, sometimes miraculously found, and sometimes able to find themselves. Her characters have a largeness of spirit that does not fail them even when they falter and miss their mark. They will break your heart with their yearnings and their own compassion, touching you as few fictional creations do.
